Meeting new people and making new friends is one of the many perks of dancing at Highland Games. This is a plus in J's mind. She loves nothing more then making a new friend.
a new friend from on holiday from Australia.
discussions include Disneyland rides, the fact that Australia is on the other side of the world and so much more
After all that fun and one more dance, and she won this...
Here is my babe dancing the sword dance yesterday at the Highland Games in Costa Mesa. She received fourth place. Let me know if you have issues viewing. Thanks and have a wonderful week.
The girls and I walked to the mission with Lori and Kayli. We wanted to see and hear the Battle of the Mariachis. I took Julia a couple of years ago and it was fun. This time I was surprised to see how crowded it was. The mission was packed! Finding seats was difficult so we walked around a bit and we were lucky enough to watch the grand finale which was Julia's favorite part since, "all the bands were on stage together."
In September the girls and I headed down to the harbor for the annual Tall Ship Festival. We visited one of our fun local places, The Ocean Institute. Fish were watched, bird were petted, pirates were eyed. Adjacent to the institute were 6 ships tethered together. We toured all of them. The girls favorite parts of the ships were going below to see the beds and carefully crossing from ship to ship. Later, Julia took part in a pirate show which was for sure the highlight of her day. Serena on the other hand cried at those scary pirates.
